Because Every Smile Deserves to Shine.
Tooth whitening is a treatment provided for those wanting to brighten their smile and alter their tooth colour to a brighter shade.
There are two ways this can be done:
– At-home whitening
– In-office whitening
The tooth whitening gel cannot bypass any deposits on your teeth, therefore, it is recommended that you have a tooth scale and polish prior to commencing the tooth whitening treatment.
Mild tooth sensitivity is a common side effect of this treatment. If gingival recession is present, the probability of increased tooth sensitivity is higher; however, this tends to decrease as the treatment progresses.
Please note that restorations in the mouth including fillings or crowns will not change colour with tooth whitening.
Please enquire about which method is considered to be best for you.
How long do teeth whitening results last?
On average, the results of professional teeth whitening last about 2 years. A top up treatment would be recommended at that interval to maintain the colour that was achieved previously.
